Rick, owner of Northern Glory Home Inspections, has had the privilege of inspecting over 2,500 properties across Northern Michigan — from rustic cabins tucked deep in the woods to stunning lakefront homes. No two inspections are ever the same, and that’s part of what he loves about this work.
He takes pride in offering thorough, honest, and high-quality inspections that help clients feel confident in their decisions — whether they’re buying their first home or managing a large investment.
Rick earned his Certified Master Inspector® (CMI) designation through InterNACHI, the world’s leading organization for home inspectors, because he believe in always learning, growing, and staying sharp in this field.

Scott VanderMeulen
Born and raised in Northern Michigan, Scott has a lifelong connection to the communities and homes that make this area special. After retiring from the State of Michigan, he decided to take on a new adventure—helping people feel confident and informed about one of their biggest investments: their home.
Scott has a genuine enthusiasm for learning and quickly earned his Certified Professional Inspector® (CPI) designation through InterNACHI. He is always expanding his knowledge to stay up-to-date on the latest building practices and inspection techniques.
Friendly, thorough, and committed to doing things the right way, Scott is excited to bring his experience and Northern Michigan roots to every inspection he performs.
